The NATURE of
B R E A T H I N G

This lovely book is a journey from our most basic necessity of breathing to how breathing with the right kind of awareness can be life changing. Jenny begins the journey with our early ancestors, our roots and along the way explores the anatomy of breathing, yoga postures, and the benign affect the breath has on our whole being. Interspersed with real life experiences we feel intuitively the book comes from a place of experiential understanding and truth.

The actual book itself is good to hold, and easy to use for any particular reference we’re looking for, to re-read a passage and so on which is so very helpful.

About Me

Jenny has been practising yoga since her early twenties. She then went to Shri. B.K.S. Iyengar in 1979 and ‘81 and then in London throughout the 80’s.

It comes before. He woke her up. She started teaching yoga, when she was a school teacher then the yoga took over. Her teaching evolved to become more intuitive and healing especially from the remedial classes she watched Mr. Iyengar take. Her first book was about the link between the practice of yoga and the deep ancient philosophy of yoga. She went onto expand that book into 6 others-see books page.

Her teachings have been very influenced and supported by Angela Farmer and Victor Van Kooten’s deep intuitive teaching of ‘original yoga’.

Then for the last 22 years by the Vanda Scaravelli teachers Diane Long and Sophy Hoare. Jenny has regular classes with Diane Long and gains much to inform her deep long daily practice.

She has recently spent a year in Chithurst Buddhist Monastery as a gardener in order to train the mind.

The FOCUS of the Teaching

The focus of the teaching is on the two way movement of the spine down from the tail Bone and forward and up of the lumbar spine off the sacrum to give a central focus on the spine from a connection up from the earthing of the feet to create the standing up of the long thigh bone through the hips to the spine.
Then the rest of the body heals and relaxes .
